Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm you have a parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think your account has been compromised. You agree to provide accurate information, like your username, and not to impersonate another person or brand.

You keep ownership of the photos, captions, scorecards, and other content you post ("Your Content"). By posting it, you give Puffin Blue a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service, for example showing your posts to your followers, or to the public if your account is public. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where it has been shared by others or where we're required to retain it, such as for a report investigation.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything that:

• Isn't yours to share, or infringes someone else's copyright or rights
• Is harassing, hateful, threatening, or targets someone based on who they are
• Is spam, a scam, or misleading
• Violates any law

Course information displayed in Puffin Blue comes in part from OpenGolfAPI, an open, community-maintained dataset licensed under ODbL. That data may be incomplete or inaccurate for any given course; Puffin Blue doesn't guarantee its accuracy. Scores and stats you log are your own record-keeping, and we don't verify their accuracy either.

Puffin Blue is meant to be a place golfers actually want to hang out. We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our community standards, at our discretion, with or without notice. You can block other users and report content or accounts that concern you; reports are reviewed privately and the reported user is never told who reported them.

Puffin Blue is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features, this section will be updated first with what's free versus paid, the billing cycle, cancellation, and refund policy, before any payment is ever collected.

You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service.

The Service is provided "as is." Course data, weather and conditions information, and AI-read scorecards may contain errors. Don't rely on Puffin Blue for anything where accuracy is critical, such as an official handicap submission, unless we've explicitly said it's suitable for that. We're not liable for disputes between users, or for content posted by other users.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Puffin Blue and the people who operate it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months, or 100 dollars if you have not paid us anything.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll do our best to give notice of material changes before they take effect.
